A spice tour is a great opportunity to see the rural areas of Zanzibar and the area surrounding Stone Town. It is true that a visit to one of our carefully chosen spice farms is a must-do while in Zanzibar. The spices, medicinal plants, and tropical fruits of Zanzibar have long drawn traders from all around the Indian Ocean. A variety of tastes, textures, and scents will entice your senses during this three to four-hour trip. You will come across a variety of plants, including the dasheen cocoyam, iodine plant, ylang-ylang, lipstick tree, henna bush, cocoa, and yes, Zanzibar coffee! Taste the many delicious tropical fruits that the island has to offer, including jackfruit, pineapples, bananas, green coconut (madafu), durian, love apple (matufaa), rambutan (shoki-shoki), soursop (mabungo), and starfruit (carambola).

We enjoy a home-cooked lunch in a secluded rural setting to round off the leisurely farm walk. A local farmer and his wife have prepared a variety of traditional Swahili dishes to perfection for the lunch.
